FFS Assessment :
Based on 2013 and 2016 acoustic surveys, a pipeline crossing was found between a 6inch and 12-inch pipeline with an associated unacceptable L2 freespan. The following work was undertaken;
- Prepare upheaval/lateral buckling using FEA.
- Determine acceptability of freespan using L3 FEA approach and perform sensitivity analysis taking into account tolerance of survey results.
- Prepare Fitness for Service report based on ULS crietria of DNV ST F101.
